Santa Claus Village at a glance
Santa Claus Village is a cluster of shops, cafés, activity providers and the Santa Claus Office at the Arctic Circle, 8 km north of the centre of Rovaniemi on the E75. Prices are in euros, as of 2026, and they change.

A few things to know before you go
Details that change plans.
Free entry does not mean everything is free
The village has no entry fee, and neither does the Santa Claus Office. Snowman World, animal rides, photos and SantaPark are separate purchases. There is no single ticket that covers the whole village.
Santa Claus Office →An entrance time on busy days
On very full days you collect a free entrance time at the small red hut and then queue inside. It saves your place in the inner queue and does not guarantee the meeting itself. In December, slots can be gone by early afternoon.
Christmas in Lapland →SantaPark runs in a season
SantaPark opens on 31 October 2026 and runs to 23 January 2027. A day ticket starts at €42 for adults and €37 for children, and a booking fee comes on top.
SantaPark →Snowman World starts in December
Snowman World is planned from 6 December 2026 to 17 March 2027, depending on the weather. Do not plan on it for the first days of December or for a summer visit.
Lapland tours →Photo prices
Digital photos and video start at €57 for up to 5 people, and an A4 print costs €42. Buying is optional, and your own phones and cameras are not allowed inside the office.
Photos and queues →Winter days are short, not dark all month
Rovaniemi has very short days in midwinter, but true polar night starts further north. Do not expect a month without daylight.
Weather and daylight →The Pilke science centre has closed
Pilke closed in autumn 2026. The current culture pass covers the Arktikum and Korundi instead.
Arktikum →Santa Claus Village: frequently asked questions
